Our Supportive Inclusion League Project
We at Headstrong CFC believe that fundamentally football has the ability to bring about positive change in people's lives. However, based on what we've seen in amateur league football the environment is rarely if ever a healthy, safe, or friendly thing to be a part of. We've seen over the past several years a rise in men openly discussing their mental health and wonderfully many professional footballers are beginning to do the same, but we still have a long way to go before we break the stigma.
So we are reaching out across the whole of Lancashire, to see who would potentially like to be part of our Supportive Inclusion League Project. The idea behind the league is to create an environment that is enjoyable, safe both physically AND mentally, and an inclusive environment for all men who take part who could be struggling with their mental health.
The league will have it's own set of rules based around our concept and will reward teams based on their approachability, sportsmanship and comradery towards the opposition. We have also approached the Lancashire FA regarding the league and this is something they would love to back if we can gather enough interest.
So if you feel your teams possess the right ethos for this type of league and have had enough of the toxicity in today's modern game then get in touch with us so we can register your interest in getting the league up and running ready for the new season.
